Someone's Trying To
Steal This Domain
Apparently, a group of people are trying to establish a new track at
the Rescue Community Center. This is fantastic!
They have tried to contact me regarding the domain, which is not
currently for sale. I figured ignoring them, since I don't
have time to respond to people trying to buy any of the hundreds of
domains I own, would be sufficient. But, apparently, I was
wrong.
Scott Drummond, of Agile Software, acting
on behalf of the group, or on his own, attempted to gain access to
the domain by sending an e-mail to the domain registrar, falsly
claiming that he, acting on behalf of the Community Center, owned
the rights to the domain name and the brand "Rescue R/C Speedway"
and/or "Rescue R/C Raceway". Both of which are false.
I have owned this
domain since it was originally registered, nearly 10 years ago.
I donated my time, money, expertise and resources to Lynne and Bruce
Pease to help promote them and their operation of the track.
For Scott, and anyone he's working on behalf of, to try to take the
domain using fraudulent claims, via e-mail, in my opinion, shows the
kind of character we can expect from a new track.
Here's the e-mail
Scott sent to the domain registrar:

Message body: The Rescue Community Center owns the rights to
the rescuerc.com brand and domain name. We are unable to get in touch
with the old web developer and the hosting company will not respond to
calls or emails. We are willing and able to provide any official
documents verifying that we, the Rescue Community Center, need to
regain control of this domain ASAP.
Get a clue Scott.... While I may
have entertained selling the domain to a new track, once
established, your actions have certainly pissed that away. I
suggest you cease and desist further fraudulant activities in
regards to this domain.
